Brewers Fire Manager Ned Yost

The Milwaukee Brewers fired Manager Ned Yost after a four game sweep in Philadelphia. Now the Brewers and Phillies are tied for the NL Wild Card. Dale Sveum will take over for the rest of the season as interim manager. Doug Melvin of the Brewers said " This decision was very tough". "But it puts us in the best position for the last two weeks".

The Brewers were 20-7 in August. They were riding high into September. 6 games ahead in the NL Wild Card. Now they lost 11 of 14 games. They are currently TIED for the Wild Card. All I have to say it doesn't look good.

Cubs Astros @ Miller Park

With Hurricane Ike causing severe weather conditions , Major League Baseball has moved two games between the Astros and Cubs to Miller Park. The news was announced Saturday evening. I believe this is the wrong thing to do. It is like adding two home games to the Chicago Cubs schedule. The funny part is the Astros are the offical home team. Even though Chicago is 90 miles south of Milwaukee. If I was Bud Selig I would move the games to the Astros Triple A Complex. I feel sorry for all Astros fans and as a Brewer fan it makes Cubs fans call Miller Park Wrigley North.
